I worked for a not-for-profit about 10 years, and I started to see the writing on the wall. At some point every organization becomes greedy, and you can see how it begins changing policies. As I watched this happening and I was nearing retirement age I chose to leave my position and begin my own business. My business partner and I made a decision to reach for the stars and started our own training organization. Although my decision caused me to lose a small pension, I made the best decision possible. I love being an owner of a business and I love sharing my knowledge with my students. Being in business keeps me moving every day and keeps me young. It’s never too late to start something new and change careers.
